Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will allow players to switch seamlessly between playing as Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the game’s open-world sections.

Details of Gameplay Trailer

In last week’s Spider-Man 2 gameplay trailer, both characters were seen in action, but it was not clear how switching between the two heroes would work in the upcoming sequel. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 creative director Bryan Intihar addressed this issue in an interview with Eurogamer, stating that players would be able to switch between the characters by pressing a simple button.

Content Design

Intihar explained that the game has content designed around both Peter and Miles, as well as content where players can choose to play as either character. While Peter Parker is the main playable character in the first Spider-Man game, the sequel will feature plenty of swinging around as both characters. Intihar suggested that the ability to switch between the characters so freely is made possible by the boost in processing power afforded by the PS5’s new-gen hardware.

The Excitement of Freely Switching Characters

Intihar expressed his excitement about the new feature, stating that “Being able to switch in the open world so quickly between the two characters is really, really awesome. Just being able to pick and choose who I want to play as for a certain activity… it’s been so awesome to have that feature. [It’s] something we probably wouldn’t have explored previously.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will allow players to seamlessly switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales during open-world gameplay. This new feature is made possible by the PS5’s new-gen hardware and will add a new level of excitement to the game. Players can look forward to experiencing both characters’ unique abilities and playing styles as they swing through the city and fight crime.
