Capcom recently unveiled a playable demo for Street Fighter 6 during a showcase hosted by Lil Wayne. The demo allows players to experience a small portion of the game’s adventure-like World Tour mode by creating a custom avatar and taking to the streets. It also features one-on-one or ‘extreme’ battles with fighters Ryu and Luke. The demo is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 via the PlayStation Store.
New Features to Look Forward To
In addition to the playable demo, Capcom announced several new features for the upcoming game during the showcase. These include dynamic battle damage, custom move sets in World Tour mode, and fresh tutorials for new players. The debut of the ‘fight anyone’ World Tour Mode is also something returning players can look forward to.
New Fighters to Be Released Every Few Months
Capcom also announced the first full year of game content, with new fighters scheduled to be released every few months through 2024. The first fighters to be released include A.K.I. in Autumn 2023, Rashid in Summer 2023, Ed in Winter 2024, and Akuma in Spring 2024. These fighters will appear as hidden ‘collectibles’ in World Tour mode and become fully playable in the game’s fighting grounds.
